Passover HerTorah: What the Seder Can Teach Us About Living Through Hardship

Featuring Rabbanit Alissa Thomas-Newborn, R’ Aliza Sperling, R’ Dalia Davis… and you.

In the past, we have thought about the Passover story as one of redemption, and the mention of the suffering and slavery in the Passover Haggadah as a way for us to appreciate how incredible the miracle of the Exodus was.

But this year, as we are experiencing difficult times both in the US and in Israel, we have noticed that the Haggadah spends a lot of its real estate describing the very difficult parts of our history.

It tells us about redemption but also doesn't look away from the difficulties and suffering endured before then.

What can we learn from the Haggadah and Seder night rituals about how to deal with times of difficulty?

What is the connection between the suffering in the story and then the redemption?

What is the work that we can do during times of difficulty, and how can that work impact what the redemption looks like?

Join us? We need to hear from all our voices.

Thursday, April 3rd @ 8:15-9:30pm ET
