Connection in a time of Grief:

A Gathering of Torah, Support & Song

with Rabbanit Batya Hefter, Dr. Betsy Stone, Felicia Sloin, Rabbi Lisa Goldstein

There are no words for these feelings. Holding each other is the only way through.

Join us for some Torah and togetherness. Grief is not meant to be experienced alone.

Rabbanit Batya Hefter will teach Torah about standing still and moving forward in trying times. Dr. Betsy Stone, a psychologist, will give us strategies for dealing with the onslaught of bad news. Rabbi Lisa Goldstein will host a special breakout room for women* with close relatives serving in the Israeli army. And Felicia Sloin will lift us up with music.

Come when you can, stay till you can’t. But, come.

It’s time to be together.

Join us Thursday 10/12 @ 8:30-9:30pm ET.

Please invite someone you think might want to be with us, too.

No previous Jewish learning experience or familiarity with Hebrew necessary.

SVIVAH gathers together a diverse community of Jewish women to connect over our shared heritage, explore our collective wisdom, and elevate our communal experience in learning with and from one another.

Our work is made possible in part by support of the Aviv Foundation and The Covenant Foundation and inspired by each one of us.

This gathering was made possible (in part) by funds granted by The Covenant Foundation. The statements made and the views expressed, however, are solely of SVIVAH.

This gathering welcomes women* 12+ and learners of all backgrounds.

SVIVAH is dependent on the generosity of those who choose to invest in a powerful community of women. As always, cost should never be a barrier to anything SVIVAH, but if you can, please help us show respect to our speakers/facilitators for their time and expertise. www.svivah.org/donate

*SVIVAH defines "Jewish woman" as anyone wishing to be included in a circle of Jewish women. If you want to be here, we want you to be here.
