This magical Talmudic story touches on some big human questions and our very-human distractions. Through this text, we will examine the power of humanity to create a spiritual outlook toward gratitude.

This gathering will take place at The BOLD Center in Friendship Heights. It is accessible by public transportation (AU Metro) and is handicap accessible. Public parking in the area is free and plentiful on weekends.
Rabbi Elianna Yolkut strives through challenging questions, dynamic study and meaningful connection to help Jews at all life stages reach a deeper understanding of and connection to Judaism. Raised in St. Louis, Elianna is a thinker, writer and educator seeking new models for religious community-building and fresh ways to teach Torah. She is Rabbi in Residence of Lifelong Learning at Adas Israel Congregation and teaches throughout the metro DC area. Rabbi Yolkut is a Rabbinic Leadership Fellow at the Hartman Institute. She completed the Rabbis Without Borders fellowship in 2012 and was ordained in 2006 at the American Jewish University where she later served as adjunct faculty, while serving as Assistant Rabbi at Adat Ari El in Valley Village. Rabbi Yolkut holds a BA in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies and Sociology from Brandeis University and lives with her partner and their three children in Washington DC.
