Sarah Schenirer rose from obscurity to become one of the most influential women in Jewish history. What is her legacy for women* today?

Join us in learning with Leslie Ginsparg Klein, Academic Dean of Women’s Institute of Torah Seminary & College, and a foremost expert in the history of the Bais Yaakov Movement, honoring the legacy of one of the most profound innovators in the field of Jewish women’s education.

Serving God With Joy: Sarah Schenirer in Verse — with Talia Weisberg

There are four biblical verses that Sarah Schenirer viewed as a "call to action." Together, we will explore two of them - what they mean in biblical context, what they say about Sarah Schenirer's work and legacy, and how we can integrate these ideas into our own spiritual practice.

Come be with us – our learning is incomplete without you around our table.

As always, the conversation won't be complete without you. We want to be together with you. Tell a friend or family member to join in -- we would love to meet her, too!

Join us Wednesday 2/23 @ 8:15-9:45pm EST

Come when you can; stay till you can’t.

“The true legacy of Sarah Schenirer is that one person can make an incredibly positive change. Her legacy is the power of grassroots efforts. It is persisting in the face of apathy, ignorance, and opposition. It is the belief that if one’s work us truly for the benefit of the community, it will be successful. As Schenirer herself wrote, reflecting back on the movement’s inception, “if the intent is sincere and the aim is proper, my goal will certainly be achieved.” — Leslie Klein, “Sarah Schenirer and Innovative Change: The Myths and Facts”, The Lehrhaus
